El jueves 12 de febrero, la Escuela de Ingenierías Industriales de la Universidad de Valladolid acoge la feria de empleo 'MetalEngineers connect: where talent meets opportunity', organizada por la Fundación UVa, la Asociación de Empresarios del Metal de Valladolid, VAMETAL y la Escuela de Ingenierías Industriales de la UVa. 

La Feria reunirá a 20 empresas del sector del metal de la provincia y ofrecerá un espacio de encuentro directo entre estas compañías y estudiantes de ingeniería, favoreciendo la empleabilidad, la innovación y la conexión con el tejido productivo local.

MetalEngineers connect se celebra en el maco de Talento Valladolid, un programa impulsado por el Ayuntamiento de Valladolid, a través de su Agencia de Innovación y Desarrollo Económico de Valladolid (IdeVa), y la Universidad de Valladolid a través de su Fundación.

Medio centenar de estudiantes de la Escuela de Ingenierías Industriales (EII) de la Universidad de Valladoild visitarán cuatro empresas de carácter multinacional con sede en la ciudad.

Esta actividad, organizada en el marco del proyecto Talento Valladolid, comenzará a las 08:30 horas y consistirá en un recorrido con paradas en la quesería Entrepinares, la corporación de iluminación Signify, y las empresas de automoción Horse y Renault Group.

El rector de la Universidad de Valladolid, Antonio Largo, y la directora de Universidades de Castilla y León, Blanca Ares, presiden los Premios Prometeo 2025 que reconocen 45 proyectos de estudiantes de la UVa de las ediciones 2023-2024 y 2024-2025. 

El acto público tendrá lugar el miércoles 1 de octubre a las 10.30 horas en el Edificio I+D del Campus Miguel Delibes de Valladolid. Posteriormente autoridades y asistentes podrán ver algunos de los prototipos de los proyectos premiados en esta iniciativa que lleva a cabo la Fundación UVa en el marco del Plan TCUE, un proyecto financiado por la Junta de Castilla y León.

VII Meeting of Planetary Science and Solar System Exploration

The 7th CPESS  ("Ciencias Planetarias y Exploración del Sistema Solar", by its Spanish acronym) meeting will be held in Valladolid, Spain, from july 11th to 13th, 2023. It is organized by the ERICA Research group of the Applied Physics department of the University of Valladolid (UVa), with the collaboration of other groups and researchers on the field of Astrophysics at UVa.

As in previous events, the goal of the meeting is to show the scientific and technological activities that are being performed in the field of planetary science, from the bodies of our own solar system to exoplanets, including space instrumentation,  as well as to hold dedicated sessions for science politics and small missions.

Communications and registration

In order to contribute, abtracts can be presented up to May 28, 2023, following the abstract template.

Contributions must be written in English and will be compiled in a publication with access from the Astrophysics Data System (ADS). Oral presentations can be presented in English or Spanish. 

Due to the limited capacity, registration is required by June 23th, 2023.

Participation is free of charge.

Activities and logistics

The meeting will consist of a first day (July 11^th) in Boecillo, at the ERICA Research Group facilities, with dedicated sessions for science politics and small missions.

The rest of the meeting (July 12-13^th) will address scientific and technological sessions at the Palacio de Congresos Conde Ansúrez of the University of Valladolid.

Financial support

We are currently working in getting funds to help with travel and lodging expenses for young scientists attending the meeting. Conditions and further information will be posted here.
